900 stallions and sport horses meet in Herning05-03-2020 - 08:32

A total of 900 stallions for selection, dressage and show jumping horses from more than 20 countries have now moved into MCH Messecenter Herning to compete at The Danish Warmblood Stallion Show 2020

The Danish Warmblood Stallion Show 2020 takes place in Jyske Bank Boxen of MCH Messecenter Herning on 5 - 8 March. The stallion licensing is known as the finale where some of the best dressage premium stallions from Europe meet to compete. The immense and unique shows give the visitors the possibility to enjoy a combination of sport and breeding.
18 show jumpers and 24 dressage colts have been selected for the stallions licensing in Herning which usually ends up like a European final as many of the best stallions from the German and Dutch licensing are purchased by Danish stallion keepers. The many newly licensed young stallions that have been imported will meet these 42 young stallions that have not been through the licensing procedure.
Among them are several representatives of the first crop by former world champion Revolution, and one of them is out of a full sister to the triple world champion Sezuan.

Add to the fame
Many renowned dressage stallions have taken their first steps of fame at the Danish Warmblood stallion show in Herning such as Zonik, Sezuan and Hesselhøj Donkey Boy.
Young DWB stallions Zonik, Sezuan and Hesselhøj Donkey Boy had altogether sired five of the nine medalists at world young horse championships in Ermelo last year, and they seem to act as a sign of the times: The growing influence of Danish Warm Blood.
Along with the stallion licensing many breeding enthusiasts watch dressage and show jumping classes purely with licensed stallions which allows them to get a more complete picture of the stallions in sport and breeding.

Let the Games Begin
In addition to the stallion licensing, the popular event offers young horse championships, show clinics, gala shows, tack fair and last but not least, an international show in dressage and show jumping which combines sport and breeding at an absolute top level. Year after year, new elements have been added to the popular event that is one of a kind in the world.
In recent years, a consistent theme has characterized the event and the great gala shows on Friday and Saturday nights. This year, the theme during the Danish Warmblood Stallion Show will, of course, be the Olympic Games. Hence the title of this year’s event: Let the Games Begin.
